TWiNE is a group of tapestry weavers in the New England area.
WHAT IS TAPESTRY?
Tapestry is an ancient hand weaving technique using discontinuous wefts. Small areas are woven using different colors to make images or patterns, as in the Unicorn Tapestries, Navajo rugs or Turkish kilim rugs. Contemporary tapestry weavers use the same time consuming techniques in their work.
